We humbly submit to you the vision of the Lord Jesus

Christ as given to Brother Harry Gomes regarding the University of Theology, under the umbrella of Harry Gomes Ministries International of Coimbatore, India.

Brother Harry has obtained understanding from the Holy Spirit of the vision and the University will be the first of it's kind in the land of India and possibly the world. It is the intent and purpose that the University of Theology raise up orphan and poor children as disciples of Jesus Christ. In addition, it will also be open to anyone who will answer the call to be a spiritual soldier for Jesus Christ, regardless of nationality or financial status. The University is planning to open with a dedication service in the year 2010.

The objective role of the University of Theology is as follows

• To raise up disciples for the land of India and the world, regardless of social status.
• To offer studies to disciples from foreign countries for course work that would be 3 to 6 months in duration.
• To reach the 27 States and the 10 Union territories in the land of India through these disciples.
• To equip the disciples for the 5 fold ministry as Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers.
• To raise up Spirit-filled prayer warriors as soldiers for Jesus Christ.
• To be open to anyone willing to demonstrate faith, surrender, discipline and sacrifice to the will of God.

The disciples of Jesus Christ will have opportunity to obtain any of the following Degrees and or Certificates from the University of Theology. There are 7 options every student will be offered:

• A 3 month Certificate
• A 6 month Certificate
• A 1 year Theology Certificate, including practical workshops
• A 2 year program leading to a Diploma in Theology
• A Bachelor of Theology Degree will be given to those who successfully complete the 3 year program
• A Master of Theology Degree will be given to those who have a Bachelor of Theology Degree and successfully complete an additional 2 years of study which includes practicum
• A Doctor of Divinity Degree will be given to those who have a Master of Theology Degree and successfully complete an additional 18 months of study

In January 2006, when Brother Harry shared the vision from the Lord, one of the members of his congregation came forward and proposed an offer.

The gentleman had been a Hindu, but after coming to Carmel Prayer Tower Church, confessed his sins and offered Brother Harry 75 acres of property valued at approximately 1.75 million US dollars for only 150 thousand U.S. dollars. Praise God!! This was a miracle of God, to receive SO much property for so little money. This was first step in fulfilling the vision for the University of Theology.

Brother Gomes fasted, prayed and earnestly sought the face of the Lord for 52 days like Nehemiah. God once again spoke to Brother Gomes by the voice of the Holy Spirit telling him that God would provide, not only for the land, but He would also provide the 4 million dollars to build the infrastructure of the University.

After facing many obstacles, especially from Hindu fundamentalists, the $150,000 was received. The land was purchased and put into the Carmel Prayer Tower Trust. This was completed in August 2006 in accordance with the vision from the Lord. This Trust was specifically established for the University of Theology. By obedience to the call, the vision, the mission, and the voice of God, Brother Harry has experienced God's faithfulness in providing victory over every obstacle from the world and the enemy. Shortly after the land purchase, construction began on a small prayer room where prayers are offered daily for God to fulfill the vision for the University. Other initial construction includes a stone wall measuring 2,000 running feet across the front of the property and the remaining 3 sides have been fenced. There are 3 wells that have been dug and God has provided very sweet water in each well.

To begin building the first phase of the University we need about 500 thousand U.S. dollars. This will allow for approximately 20,000 square feet of building. For the next 3 years we will need approximately the same amount of money to bring the vision to completion. Upon completion of the university, 1,000 full time students will be able to live and study on campus.

In addition to these students in accordance with the command of the Lord Jesus Christ to take the Gospel into every nation, the University of Theology proposes the following:

• Affiliating individual Bible Colleges in India under a common curriculum.
• Offering a part-time evening Bible College in different parts of India by using the graduates from Harvest India Bible College to teach these classes in the churches they have established.
• Providing a 2 to 4 week program for indigenous Pastors of India for encouragement and refreshment.
• Offering classes to lay leaders to better equip them to serve their Pastor and congregation.
• Providing additional training for 30 days and provide Ordination to the independent ministers to fulfill the Great Commission.
• Offering workshops for 30 days to help Pastors have clarity for the call of God and renewed hope.
• Conducting annual seminars on the gifts and operation of the Holy Spirit, open to Ministers of God and lay people as well.

By offering these non-traditional classes, approximately 4 thousand people could benefit annually, besides the thousand full-time students.

Brother Harry has been conducting 18-20 crusades annually since 1999. Because he is involved in both cities and villages he has met many pastors throughout India. As a result of the crusades many people have joined their churches and these pastors have maintained a wonderful relationship with Brother Harry. They are elated to think about the possibility to attend some of the classes mentioned above.

Brother Harry has dedicated his life and that of his family to the Lord Jesus Christ and to the fulfillment of every vision and mission of the Lord Jesus Christ. Brother Harry's example of fulfilling the Great Commission by the hardships he has had in leaving his family for 7 months each year to preach the Gospel and raise support, enduring the harassment from certain Hindus and the suffering he has endured in his body are evidence that he is fully committed and continues to fulfill the vision of the Lord by the grace of God. He has chosen to throw off every sin and hindrance that would prevent him from running and completing the course that God has set before him. By the grace, mercy and strength of God he desires to persevere until it is his day to stand before the Lamb of God.
