Our founder Bro. Gomes was born in South India. He lost his
mother very early at a tender age of 8; hence he was
brought up by his father and grandmother. He did not
experience a pleasant childhood because he did not receive any formal education till the age of 13.

Since he was eager to study, he directly appeared for the matriculation exam and went through it from there on with a lot of enthusiasm and zeal towards studies. He received his Masters in Business Management specializing in Marketing & Commerce. Thus completing his education through merit, he then drummed up his business after getting married and excelled relatively well in his sphere of business. He received 2 awards namely the Lok Shree Award & Udyog Shree Award from the Institute of Economic Studies.

At this point in time, he suffered from a painful skin disease known as “Lukerderma (white patches)”. His disease spread at an alarming rate all over his body. Unable to bear the pain & bitter humiliation, he lost his interest in Studies & Business and decided to commit suicide.

The turning point in his life happened on the 29th day of August 1992. It was the birthday of his wife and they went to a church along with his 2 children. During prayer Bro. Gomes was filled with the abundant power of the Holy Spirit. He was recuperated from “Lukerderma” completely at this time and things in his life started to turn out for the better.

He looked back into his life and realised that he had come a long way in life all alone, though he was an orphan. The Lord always sent people to help him out from his difficulties. Holy Spirit had greater plans for his life. He started interceding and praying for others. He also supported a lot of pastors when he was in business.

As a gesture of offering thanks to the Lord for all the good things that have happened in his life, he arranged for a crusade in the year 1996 by hiring a marriage hall. He had invited good gifted speakers. On the day of the crusade, the speakers did not turn up. Hearing the news of the unavailability of the speakers, he was completely shattered and in distress. The Holy Spirit then led him to do the preaching by himself. Even at a time he did not study the scription by heart, he was able to preach by quoting the right verses. In fact this was a surprise for Bro. Gomes himself “Hallelujah!” During this crusade nearly 5,000 people who attended were saved & blessed.

From that time onwards, he knew that this was the sole purpose of his life and that God wanted him to continue the good work through him. He then wound up his business completely with the help of his wife. He made sure that all his employees were well settled in many good companies. From there on he commenced his full time ministry. “To work only for the Lord” - this became his motto in life. Till this date and forever to serve the Lord will be in his every breath and single minded pursuit of his life.
